A Night of Reflection, Celebration and Looking Ahead
Our Ruby Jubilee Annual Dinner marked a heartfelt milestone — 40 years of Press Metal’s journey, shaped by determination, resilience, and the people who have carried it forward every step of the way.
From a small extrusion press in Puchong, manual operations, and a handful of employees, our Group CEO, Tan Sri Dato’ Koon Poh Keong, reminded us how Press Metal began with little more than scraps, small billets, big dreams, and a strong spirit to learn, improve, and persevere.
What started modestly has grown, over the decades, into a story built by dedicated people and trusted partners.
Our COO, Lim Heng Kam, reflected on how 2025 tested us with uncertainty, yet we stayed disciplined and focused on long-term capability. Meaningful progress was made in automation, capacity expansion, and R&D, including developments at PMPV Samalaju and upgrades at our Klang plant. Beyond equipment, the emphasis remained on people, process, and quality — strengthening our foundation for higher-value products and long-term partnerships.
The evening was also a chance to express gratitude — to those who laid the foundation before us, to colleagues and stakeholders who have walked this journey for decades, and to our valued partners through the Partnership Appreciation Awards. It was a sincere thank you for their dedication, coordination, and trust as we continue to grow together.

Creativity, Connection and Jubilant Spirit
What made this annual dinner especially memorable was how we turned “looking ahead” into something guests could truly see and feel. Through AI-driven stage visuals and videos, the evening reflected our creativity and our willingness to move with the times.
Another thoughtful touch was the debut of our CYCAL plushie as a take-home gift. More than just a charming keepsake, it was a warm symbol of our commitment to sustainability and circularity — bringing an important message closer to everyday life.
One of the most moving highlights of the night was the three stage performances by our colleagues. From reflections on the past to hopes for the future, each performance carried sincerity, pride, and energy. In those moments of laughter, applause, and emotion, we were reminded that at the heart of Press Metal’s story are our people — and the culture we have built together.
Beyond the programme itself, the spirit of the evening lived in the atmosphere: the reunions, the conversations, the shared laughter, and the sense of togetherness that filled the room. It was not just a celebration of how far we have come, but a reminder of how much stronger we are when we move forward together.
