Job Summary:

The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision metal or plastic parts according to specifications. The role ensures that products meet quality standards and production targets while maintaining machine efficiency and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines (lathe, milling, or other) according to production drawings and specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine machining requirements.
  • Load raw materials and select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine parameters.
  • Monitor machine operation, adjust settings, and inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance, tool changes, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Measure dimensions of finished parts using precision instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Maintain records of production output, inspection results, and machine performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to improve machining processes and efficiency.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and in compliance with 5S and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate, Diploma, or Technical training in Machining, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skilled in using measuring instruments and inspection tools.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming (Fanuc, Siemens, or Mazak) is an added advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and teamwork skills.
  • Required language(s): English and Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge of Mandarin will be an advantage.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

  • Experience with multi-axis CNC machines.
  • Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM software.
  • Understanding of cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for different materials.
  • Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.

The PLC Engineer is responsible for designing, programming, testing, and maintaining PLC control systems for automated machinery and production lines. This role ensures equipment reliability, supports troubleshooting, and drives process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment and automation projects
  • Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment control issues to minimize production downtime.

  • Maintain and update system documentation, electrical schematics, and backup programs.

Requirements:

  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Troubleshoot and maintenance for air compressors such as change compressor oil, air filters, pressure, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and repair overhead crane by liaise with contractor from time-to-time by inspecting of hoists, cranes, systems, chain falls and pullers.
  • Troubleshoot and maintenance for billet oven such as wiring and grinding head, thermocouple probe servicing, gas value, modulator and flame controller trouble shooting, limit switch, hydraulic, motor etc.
  • To ensure proper handover / take over any task upon changing of shift for day and night shift.
