From our modest beginning as a private-owned local aluminium extrusion Company in 1986, Press Metal has come a long way to becoming a globally integrated aluminium player today. Our activities have grown into a Global Network covering countries like Australia, UK, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and US.

30 Years of History
The brainchild of the Koon brothers, Press Metal began as a local aluminium extrusion company in 1986. Today, Press Metal is a world-class producer of aluminium used by technology giants, high-speed train makers, innovative product designers, and household food and beverage brands; with markets and operations in Malaysia, South East Asia, China, Australia, Europe and the Americas. Our vision is our inspiration, but our beliefs are in our guiding principles of Business Acumen, Quality Excellence, Global Outlook, Focused Teamwork and Social Responsibility. Press Metal's 30th Anniversary is an achievement cast in aluminium but moulded by vision and belief.

  • 1986

    PMB Aluminium is a global aluminium extruder based in Klang, Malaysia with its main headquarters in Malaysia which was incorporated since 1986.

  • 1993

    Listed on the Second Board of Bursa Malaysia. First aluminium extruder in Malaysia to be awarded the MS ISO9001:2000 certification.

  • 1999

    Successfully transferred to the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia. Expands its operations to UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

  • 2003

    Extrusion capacity hits 40,000MT per annum. Became the largest producer of aluminium extrusion products in Malaysia.

  • 2005

    Ventures into China and establishes its new aluminium extrusion plant in Foshan with a capacity of 120,000MT per annum. Total investment value of RM500 million with a workforce of 2,000 employees.

  • 2006

    Acquires an aluminium smelter with a 90,000MT capacity per annum in Hubei, China.

  • 2008

    Expands its extrusion operations to Hubei, China with a capacity of 30,000MT per annum.

1986

PMB Aluminium is a global aluminium extruder based in Klang, Malaysia with its main headquarters in Malaysia which was incorporated since 1986.

1993
